To cap off a busy 2021, Niantic is once again doing something special to celebrate Community Day in December for Pokemon GO trainers. While typical Community Day events happen on one Sunday each month, shining a spotlight on a particular Pokemon, December’s event is one that is given a much bigger scale to work with, as well as both Saturday and Sunday. Similar to last year, Niantic is showcasing over 20 Pokemon across the entire weekend, highlighting those from both 2020 and 2021.

Pokemon GO’s December Community event kicks off on December 18 from 11:00am to 5:00pm local time and fans will start to see increased spawn rates of Fletchling, Gible, Machop, Roselia, Snivy, and Swablu in the wild. The following day on December 19 from 11:00am to 5:00pm local time, Duskull, Eevee, Oshawott, Shinx, and Tepig will be featured heavily in the wild.

In addition to these Pokemon and bonuses, Community Day also brings with it Special movesets for various Pokemon as well as unique Research Tasks that players can complete to earn additional rewards, materials, and items to use. These are the game’s mainline quests that remain in place until a player successfully finishes it, unlike the more limited time event ones. Here’s a complete list of all the Special Research Tasks coming to Pokemon GO during December’s Community Weekend event.
