Do land snails prepare dinner/ style like sea snails? [serious] : AskCulinary

I’ve eaten sea snails like the areolata snails areolata sea snails and other similar looking ones before, it was often either steamed and you dip it into some soy sauce/ fish sauce/house sauce or it was stir fried in aromatics such as ginger, scallions and garlic. When they are cooked, the meat of the snails are sorta rubbery and a little chewy without a lot of flavor, maybe just a tad sweet.

But I’ve never had “land snails” before or have seen it available anywhere near me and I wonder if land snails/ escargot is similar to sea snails. I’m not even sure if that’s even the right term, or if all land snails are edible or only a certain type of snails are called escargot, does any one know?
