Unfortunately for me I’m pretty much a hypochondriac and after reading about the dangers of leftover rice(if not stored properly)it kinda got to me.My mom cooked some rice a couple of days ago(a pretty big batch that I thought I’d plow through)and it was left out for a few hours before I put it in the refrigerator(not sure exactly how long). We live in a pretty hot, humid country albeit that day wasn’t particularly hot.
I’ve eaten some of it yesterday, but I’m scared of eating some today as well after reading all those scary facts about the bacteria and the toxins it leaves behind. On the other hand, I don’t want my fears to get the best of me and have that large batch my mom made to be thrown away over it. I’m the only one who’s going to be eating from it, since my mom’s keeping carbs to a minimum and my sister doesn’t really like rice.
I guess I kinda came here for some answers that might help me relieve my anxiety from people with experience and knowledge. I know this might sound stupid and this goes beyond just rice but i figured its better than caving in.
