I left a stick of butter outdoors the fridge for a number of weeks, can I nonetheless use it? : AskCulinary

While cleaning up I noticed that there was a stick of butter (unsalted) in a grocery bag from several weeks ago, and it’s been outside the fridge for that long. Some parts got rancid (dark yellow) but the rest looks perfectly fine. It also smells great, very surprisingly. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t use it?
