Is 1970s enamelware secure for cooking? : AskCulinary

I was given a set of pots and pans after a relative passed. This abridged ebay description of another set is as much as I know about them:

Vintage 1970s poppy design, 7pc cookware set. Enamel. Made by National Silver Co. Label reads: “Poppy by National De Luxe Cookware | Non-Toxic Porcelain | With Even-Heat Steel Core | 18/8 Stainless Steel Chip-Proof Rims | National Silver Company”

They’re beautiful and I would love to use them if I knew it’d be safe for my family to eat what I cook in them. There doesn’t seem to be a solid verdict across several discussions google brought me to.
