I was told that broccoli, in the refrigerator, lasts 3-5 days. I took out some broccoli that had been in my fridge for well over that time, and it was still a deep green.
However, I left it on the table, and within hours it had started to turn yellow.
So my question is, was the broccoli already spoiled, but because it was in the refrigerator it kept the green color somehow? For some reason?
