Want suggestions for Chinese language steamers and suggestions and tips for how you can use/clear/take care of. : AskCulinary

Quarantine has got me wanting to expand my culinary horizons and we have a couple pretty cool Asian groceries I’ve been frequenting. They have a great selection of frozen buns, gyoza, and other wonton wrapped foods. The problem is, I have no idea how to prepare such food. I assume you need a steamer which is where I’m at. I have a rice cooker that has a plastic steamer basket, but I don’t have the slightest idea of how to use it or what it should be used for. Which brings me to my question- what’s the best way to steam Chinese dumplings and similar foods? I’ve looked at bamboo steamers, but I’m afraid that they need a lot of TLC to not become moldy or break. Any advice would be appreciated.
