Would utilizing overcooked rice to make fish muffins work? : AskCulinary

Hello! Not sure if this is quite the right sub, if it’s not I’m sorry about that, just delete it

Basically, my boyfriend made some rice, cooked perfectly etc. Few days go by, I ask him to chuck it since it’s been left on the bench in the rice cooker, but instead he just adds more water and cooks it again. We ate some and neither of us were sick, but now it is the consistency of wet mush and really not appealing. So, I thought of trying to make fish cakes (or the like), not sure how well they would stay together though, but would adding egg to bind everything together make the rice mixture runnier? At a bit of a loss here…
